At the 97th Academy Awards "Anora" won a total of 5 Oscars, including Best Picture award. The film’s director Sean Baker, became the first person to win 4 Oscars in one night for the same film – for directing, editing, writing, and producing "Anora". The film also received the Best Actress award, which went to newcomer Mikey Madison.
