The extent of collaboration between governments and AI companies has started raising eyebrows. Last month Anthropic got into a dispute with the US government after refusing to give the military unlimited access to its AI technology. The company openly expressed concern about the government using its tools for "mass surveillance" and "fully autonomous weapons".
