Bobby was born in Sweden, but today you can find him up in the Slovenian mountains. Together with his wife he takes care of the mountain hut at Žavcarjev Vrh – voted by hikers as the best mountain hut in Slovenia for 2024! So how did he end up doing this job and why is life better in Slovenia compared to Sweden? Colleen describes herself as a nomad who speaks three languages, an avid dancer, and a person who loves discovering different places… And one of those places is her current place of residence, Slovenska Bistrica. She loves the castle vegetable market, the surroundings, and the community… She came here because of love, and is excited to see what the future has to offer in Slovenia. Englishman Daron Evans says he returned to his roots when he decided to buy some property in the village of Borjana in western Slovenia. Daron's mother was actually Slovene, born in the same village, located near the Nadiža river. Daron calls the Nadiža valley his ancestral home and says there is love in Slovenia. Childhood memories of swimming and trying to catch fish, discovering nature, renovating an old house and passing it all on to his children, Daron says his past and future are in the Nadiža valley. After the initial shock she quickly fell in the love with the country and its people, and now works as a tour guide.
