The continnents, the genres, the eras do not matter – it can come from anywhere, from anytime – but it has to be pure. The modern era in pop culture started in many ways when Sam Philips started recording musicians black and white in his Sun studio in Memphis, and it is that same spirit of urgency, rebellion, freedom and joy that Captain Soul is searching for in the music nowdays making connection between present, past and the future.
