Last weekend was marked by another tragedy in Slovenia's mountains. And three more deaths. Three Croatian mountaineers lost their lives after being swept away by an avalanche while descending Slovenia's highest mountain Triglav.
The number of deaths this year in Slovenia's mountains has risen to 46. That's almost double the amount compared to the same period last year, and already significantly more compared to the whole of 2024.
