In the shadows of the ongoing deadly conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine, the UN Security Council managed to pass two resolutions dealing with another crisis in Sudan. The Security Council adopted two resolutions. Slovenia voted for both.
The first calls for a ceasefire during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and the second calls for extending the mandates of the experts overseeing the sanctions against Sudan.
The UN says the war threatens to trigger “the world’s largest hunger crisis” affecting the entire region.
